Shark Week Desserts

For today's Shark Week post, I decided to do a little round up of shark themed desserts. Some of these look fairly do-able, and others definitely took a lot of skill. These first two look so realistic! I don't know how they did it. I also love the cupcakes with shark fin cookie toppers; two desserts in one! I love baking but haven't tried any decorating. I mentioned before that it's something I really want to try learning. Do any of you enjoy baking?

Shark Infographics

I don't know about you guys, but, I love infographics. I think they're such a great way to display information. They remind me of those poster board projects we would have to do in school. Today I've gathered a few really interesting ones about sharks. I had no idea how endangered they really were!

These shark heels from Sourpuss have been on my wishlist for about a year. One of these days, I'm just going to have to break down and buy them. They also come in grey and yellow, but the blue is definitely my favorite (although I wouldn't say no to one of each color). I just love the little fins on the sides! With shoes this amazing, I kept the rest of the outfit fairly simple; a red circle skirt and light blue cardigan, with a bow to top it off. Circle skirts are a closet staple. They really do go with anything and I love that you can wear them with or without a petticoat. The skirt is $46 from Unique Vintage, and the handmade skirt and outfit comes to $72.47. The shoes aren't cheap but they are a pretty killer design. Would you wear these heels? 

Shark Week

Today marks the start of Discovery Channel's Shark Week! Can you believe this has been going on since 1988? I don't know about you, but, I absolutely love sharks. Oceanography and marine biology are some of the most interesting fields of science, in my opinion. We know so little about our oceans and they make up such a huge part of our world. In honor of this annual event, I have a few themed posts coming up. First, I have a roundup of some awesome shark items, including one from my own shop.

These shark leggings are so much fun! I'm one of those people who doesn't like leggings as pants, but I do like to wear them for working out or sleeping. One of my biggest pet peeves is when pajama pants ride up while you're sleeping; leggings solve this problem. Sourpuss also made a dress in this print, but, unfortunately, it seems to be sold out everywhere. 

This tote is from the Discovery Channel shop and I love the spray painted/ graffiti style.

 I'm sure most of you have heard of Sharknado; it seems to have become quite the phenomenon. Well, now you can get your very own Pop! vinyl Sharknado. I haven't actually seen this whole movie. My husband and I tried watching it, but he couldn't take the cheesiness. We probably only got through the first 15 minutes.

These cookie cutters are so cute! I've mentioned before I kind of have a cookie obsession; there are just so many options for decorating them. These are perfect for a Shark Week viewing party!
